Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The 2020 woodland cover assessment used 2019 orthoimagery (10 cm) and York Region's Technical Requirements for the Verification and Update of Woodland Cover to identify woodlands. The </SPAN><SPAN>assessment and revision of woodland cover boundaries was completed by comparing previous woodland boundaries (2016 existing dataset) to current woodland boundaries as depicted on newer orthoimagery (2019). </SPAN><SPAN>Quality control was implemented in order to ensure accuracy of interpretation and to improve the results of the assessment. This assessment was completed by North-South Environmental Inc. </SPAN><SPAN>The next woodland cover assessment is scheduled for 2025.
